Tornado Dream · Meaning
Luke Barber · Updated A tornado in a dream commonly reflects a chaotic force in your life that feels bigger than you and outside your control, often something building for a while before it actually hits.
Across mythology and tradition
Unlike a sudden fire or a fall, a tornado is usually seen coming. That anticipation is part of what makes it a distinct symbol: it tends to reflect a crisis you can see approaching but feel powerless to stop, rather than something that catches you off guard. Where you are in relation to the tornado in the dream, sheltering, running, caught inside it, often tracks how directly that chaos is currently affecting you.
